Snow Removal

As winter descends upon us, please keep in mind that parking boats, ATVs, RVs and trailers in the street and rights-of-way within Town limits can no longer occur after November 15.

In order to facilitate plowing during the winter months, Town code requires that parking of all such vehicles in the rights-of-way be limited to periods of 48 hours or less, from November 16 through April 30 (Pinedale Municipal Code Sec. 440-18). Please be aware that if a plow truck comes by and a vehicle is parked in the right-of-way, that vehicle will more than likely be plowed in, in which case it is up to its owner to dig it out.

The Town of Pinedale reminds everyone that snow cannot be shoveled or pushed into the streets or right-of-way. If snow is from your personal property, it needs to stay on your property. If snow is in the right-of-way, then it can be pushed to the nearest existing snow pile, with no leftover tailings or clumps of snow in the street, within the right-of-way. Please check the Sublette County GIS for personal property lines vs. rights-of-way or call the Pinedale Town Hall.

Please remember that it is the responsibility of the owner/occupant of residential and commercial properties to clear the sidewalks of snow and ice. Snow Removal Contractors, please be aware that when plowing snow, it must be pushed completely off the streets with minimal snow left in the street. Driving on the sidewalk to plow snow in anything larger than an ATV is not allowed.

Please call the Pinedale Town Hall with any questions or concerns at 307-367-4136.
