The Department welcomes all visitors to discuss infrastructure, building code, public works matters and general knowledge about the Town’s water, sewer and roads. Due to the departments scheduling and attending to other Town matters during the workweek please make an appointment in advance.

Town of Pinedale Engineering Department

Demands put on the Town in recent years have created a need for infrastructure development and upgrades that the Town of Pinedale needs to provide for its residential and commercial constituents. The increase in complexity of this infrastructure development, upgrades and oversight both now and into the future, demand a full time engineer. The full time engineer coordinates and administrates these developments and upgrades, as well as providing technical advice and assistance in future projects of water, sewer, and roads. Furthermore with the increased cost of energy and limited resources have fixed more challenges upon the Town requiring the engineer to maintain energy sustainability and efficiency.

As with most Towns in America Pinedale is no exception, aging infrastructure and deteriorating roads have reached the end of their useful life and need replacement. Most of these projects involve great deal of funds to construct. While these systems and infrastructure are sometimes not visible or are not appealing, they are a necessity that we all need on a daily basis. More importantly taxpayer’s funds are used to fund these projects and require the oversight of engineering professionals to ensure that taxpayer dollars are making a long lasting investment. Infrastructure construction and maintenance dollars represent the majority of Town expenditures that require responsible oversight by an engineering professional.

Who is the Town Engineer - Eugene D. Ninnie, P.E., LEED AP

The Engineering Department of the Town of Pinedale is headed by Eugene D. Ninnie, P.E., LEED AP. Mr. Ninnie is a registered professional engineer in Wyoming and 6 other US states. Mr. Ninnie obtained his degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Wyoming in 1982. Mr. Ninnie comes from NYS where he owned and operated a 20 person Architectural, Construction and Engineering firm where his firm provided Civil, design build, municipal, structural, mechanical and electrical engineering services to clients such as IBM, Marriott, Hilton, Culinary Institute of America, Sunoco, Dunkin Donuts, several NYS Municipalities and various clients both public and private. Mr. Ninnie is a LEED accredited professional. This accreditation enables Mr. Ninnie to facilitate the rating of buildings with the various LEED systems for LEED Certification. Mr. Ninnie has acted as a municipal building inspector and Town engineer for NYS municipalities as well as acted as a consultant to municipalities in the re-writing of their architectural and zoning codes and acted as Town engineer on various planning, zoning boards and municipal public works projects. He has also served on long range planning committees and was awarded historical preservation awards for restoring historical buildings in NYS.
